A larger table is required
The board, the red string, and the notebook need a wide screen with a mouse or trackpad. Try a laptop or a tablet in landscape.
The Evidence
Click an item to pin it to the board. Drag the red pin at its top to another pin to draw string.
People in the File
Everyone the file names — suspects, witnesses, and bystanders alike. Nothing tells you which is which. Pin anyone to the board, pull the ones who matter toward the centre, and string them to what condemns — or clears — them.

How a case is solved
Plain terms — keep this open as long as you like.
The goal
Build a real case against one person: show how it was done, why they did it, and that they had the chance — each carried by a document. Then name them.
Reading
Click any card to open and read it. The file never explains itself — the meaning is yours to assemble. Drag a card to move it.
Red string
Drag the brass pin at the top of a card to another card to draw a thread between them. Click a thread to name what it proves — or what it clears.
Notes
Right-click anywhere on the open board to pin a note of your own — a suspicion, a contradiction, a question. Drag it, thread it to a card, or right-click the note to duplicate or remove it.
Clearing
Some documents clear a suspect — an alibi that holds, a test that comes back clean. That is a real finding. It narrows the room, but never names the killer on its own.
The verdict
Name the killer when you are certain. Name the wrong person and that face is struck from the board — you may try again, or give up and learn who did it. Only a clean, first verdict earns the Society’s regard.
A board where the killer is “whoever’s left” is an unfinished board.
